I currently play upright with the Dirty Mother String Band, performing bawdy blues and jazz in the tradition of The Copulatin' Blues Review, and electric bass and backing vocals with Everstill, a Brooklyn-based alt-rock group led by vocalist Sara Aridi.
I also perform regularly with the New York Repertory Orchestra, playing repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary compositions, including many world premieres and NYRO commissions, and with an emphasis on neglected masterpieces from the orchestral repertoire.
I'm a strong reader that's equally comfortable playing by ear, and I have experience performing in many musical styles. I'm a strong doubler on both upright and electric bass, and I'm proficient on acoustic guitar, ukulele, and piano as well. I'm happy to travel throughout the northeast, and I'm open to touring!
I also teach upright bass and music theory from my sunny music room.
